Concrete Cancer
A demo by Limp Ninja, released at Buenzli 2010.

A demo aimed at netbooks, because the GMA950-infested market needs a hug from
the demoscene too.

Quality disclaimer
------------------
This demo was partially developed and wholly intended to run on Netbooks.
The majority of this low-cost portable segment uses Intel GMA graphics, which
means that most of the technical innovations in hardware acceleration from the
last twelve years are either absent or parodied in software.

Combined with the awesome processing power that low-power CPUs fail to deliver,
it’s safe to say that this won’t look as visually inspiring as you’d expect
from the average PC demo, with it’s fancy hardware transform & lighting,
vertex shaders and suchlike.
On the other hand, this demo runs on a cheap device people either already own
or get free with a carton of milk.

Performance issues on GMA900 and 950
------------------------------------
Certain netbooks tend to underclock the GMA9x0 GPU to further our descent into
despair in favor of battery performance. Neither end of that stick gets to
beat anything, but you could try wether GMAboost helps push frame rates
towards the comfort zone. Your mileage may vary -wildly.

More importantly, the Windows 7 OpenGL drivers for GMA9x0 are hilariously
broken and will likely result in seconds per frame rather than the other way
around. Go nag Intel about that -the XP drivers are just fine!
