Euji Acha Music Disk VII - Dark Quartet

1)First of all

This music disk contains four tracks, all composed by me. Two of them are
Dark Trance tracks and have already been released ('Daemon' and 'Hydres'),
Daemon is probably one of my best tracks, in any case, it's one of my
favourite. The third is a hardcore track ('Anthemis'), I don't like it very
much, but some people do, so... All these tracks are in .XM format.
The fourth is a previously unrealesed track in .AMS format (Velvet Studio),
it is a minimal techno track, that is a techno quite repetitive and pure, I
like this style, so I wanted to give my contribution...
I like the result, and even if it is minimal techno, I succeed in adding my
little personal touch, you will see... (hear to be precise ;) )

To play AMS modules, it is advised to use Vplay wich is freeware, Cubic Player
or Mod4Win aren't able to play them. (for the moment I suppose)

Sorry for the size of this music disk, I hope you won't regret to have
downloaded it... (no, you cannot... ;) )

If you have comments about my music, or if you would like to give me your
point of view, don't hesitate to get in touch with me. (my e-mail is at the
end of this file, if you can't e-mail, you can write me, you know, the old
method... ;) )

2)Various stuff

 About MDZ Files...

MDZ files are used by Cubic Player, they contain extra information on the
module, such as author, style, length...
When you choose a module, all these information are displayed, that's just a
little feature, nothing wonderful.
For further information about .MDZ files read the Cubic's documentation. Oh,
I forgot, Cubic has got no documentation... ;)

 Why an AMS module ?

I've done a track with Velvet Studio just to test the tracker. I must admit
it is certainly the best tracker for the moment. Although, I will continue to
use Fast Tracker II, because I can do everything I want (for the moment) with
Fast Tracker II and mainly because I am in the habit of tracking with it.
Maybe I will use VS in the future, I don't know, the fact that AMS modules
aren't very popular for the moment is also a problem.

 What's a TB-303, Juno 106, TR-707, TR-808, TR-909, etc. ?

I know, I often put 'tr707 bass drum' or 'Juno 106 bass' for the instruments'
name...
That's just electronic instruments, the TB-303 is a legendary analogic
synthetizer and the TR-909 a legendary drum box. If you can buy one of them,
don't hesitate !
Another nice toy is the JP-8000, but be warned that's an analogic synthetizer,
that's not just a keyboard with sounds. If you want a box full of sounds, get
a MC-303. I don't like the MC-303 because it is ONLY a box full of sounds.

What's 'The Art of Sampling' ?

Another 'full of nothing' text about sampling written by a mediocre
megalomaniac techno composer. He is writing a second part, wich will be (if
possible) more pathetic. :)

Is Euji Acha so good at Quake ?

 Yes. :D

 I don't believe you...

You should... Seriously, I may write a file for Quake, just explaining few
techniques I have to kill monsters, etc. Here's one extra : don't play in
God mode if you want to have fun.
And should I say it again ? Quake is the real successor of Doom, only Quake
matches the ambience of Doom, Duke Nukem and all the others are just games
with the same principe, but they don't have the same atmosphere.
Overmore, Quake has got the best 3D engine, you don't fight against zoomed
sprites, but against 3D models...

What's worst than meeting four shamblers ?

Meeting four shamblers without any nails left...
...and no way out ! Damned ! :)

So you are a Quake fan...

Indeed, except that Shub-Niggurath is supposed to be 'A black goat with
thousand kids', not a blasphemous tentacular being. Maybe Shub-Niggurath can
assume several shapes... Who knows ?

3)Bugs

I didn't know that modules could have bugs. ;) (I know, I know, I already
did that joke... ;) )
