Well, it is now 4:15am, of the 10th May 1997... Well, today is the last
to upload my entry in the demo cathegory of the Simple'97 competion... Hum, and
this is my entry... And it is unfinished and late !! :) This means this is a
normal demo, since every demo in the world is always behind schedule...
I'm dying from sleep here, and I have an exam in 5 hours... Cool... So, this
text file is going to be some general rambling...

This demo uses a 18bit colour mode, very similar to the mode used by Tran in
Ambience and Luminati (similar ?! It is bloody equal ! :) ). As expected, my
demo is very similar to those two in the general feel (mellow music, mellow
effect, etc).
The history of this demo is one of chance... I had an argumment with my
girlfriend, and to make up, I did a small thing using the 18bit mode, with
some poems... Well, I showed her, everything was allright with us and I decided
to expand the very crappy 'demo'... And here it is in all it's glory... :)

I have to thank a lot of people, for without their help, none of this could
be done:

   - My Girlfriend: for providing the inspiration and the drive to make this
   - Tran: for creating my favorite demo, Luminati... He is the greatest coder
           on Earth ! :)
   - Captain Hook: for telling me how to work with the HighColor mode
   - Viriato: for help with the HighColor mode flickering problem
   - Kneebitter: for guidance in the plasma-texture part
   - The Watcher: for rotozoomer base code and 32bit opcode tutoring...
   - Garfield: for the GREAT tune !
   - Edward Schlunder: for creating the great BWSB
   - The dudes at Infinity Network: for all help they gave this past year.

So, now, what can I talk about... Well, this demo hasn't got any hidden
parts, nor command line switches. It is probably completely Win95 un-runnable,
and it may not work with many computers, because of the tweaked mode it uses.
As the matter of fact, I only tested it in 3 computers ! :)

This may run too fast on your Pentium, because I programmed this in my
out-of-century 386Sx/16... I've put some synchronisation code, but I don't
know if it will work good on anything higher than a 486Dx/33, because that was
where I did the final tests.
Besides that, in one of the computers I tested the demo in, the music wouldn't
play... The computer was equipped with a SoundBlaster Pro... Don't know what
is the problem, since I didn't made the music player...

Well, I guess there isn't much more to say... This is getting boring, and
in 4,5 hours I have to be in an exam... So, cya... And hope you enjoy this
demo...

There you can get any future productions (since this is my first major one on
the PC) and you can also get 'The Mag', an ezine I publish about coding...

Oh, BTW, when you see this demo, bear in mind that it is my first on the
PC... :)

Update in version 1.2 - Just a bugfix in the music department... Just is a
minor expression, since the sound wouldn't damn play in with that bug on
any soundcard... The problems of don't having a soundcard... :)) But now it
(must) be fixed... Also, I managed to pack ALL the files in just one EXE...
  Cooler this way...
