summertime; the worLd is in motion and one must try hard to
keep up with tempo.
first coLLection in two months; heavy stuff... missed me?
ok, heres the thing. me, ceLerona and two friends are going
on something caLLed "crL westeuropean so-in Love-tour 1997"
for three weeks we'LL be doing westen europe. LocaL posters
wiLL be put up in time. the cities we're about to visit are
big, and i do not know today where you'LL be abLe to see us
but since the tour is weLL sponsored you'LL probabLy see us
in "eL centro"; as you say in spain. this goes for part one
as for part two; on the road wiLL be me and mozze. if you
want to see us, then "music-park" in praguewiLL be our site
to preform and visit.
to aLL of you who'LL miss me; don't cry since the pLans for
another trip are under deveLopment. pLaces to visit wiLL be

Kung Babar och drottning Celeste nj�t av en underbar utflykt p� en
h�rlig �ng i elefanternas lyckliga land. Celeste, som �t p� ett �pple,
v�nde ryggen �t Babar medan hon kr�ktes.
- Jag t�lde inte �pplet, sade hon.
- Visst gjorde du det, det hade ju l�tit sig sprayas med kemikalier
f�r att bli s�d�r r�tt och vackert att se p�, sade Babar.
- Men jag m�dde illa av det, sade Celeste.
Babar skrattade.
- Hur skulle �pplet p� ett b�ttre s�tt kunna tala om f�r dig att du
inte skulle �ta upp det? sade han.
Celeste spydde lite till och log.
- Du har s� r�tt. Det var ett mycket vackert �pple.
- �h! Titta! En bil k�r bort med apan Zephir, utropade Celeste.
Jag blir ledsen n�r jag ser honom fara.
- Det ska du inte vara. Han ska f� ett tillf�lle att hj�lpa
m�nskligheten, sade Babar.
- Jag trodde han trivdes h�r? sade Celeste.
- Det gjorde han ocks�, men nu ska han f� tj�na den medicinska
forskningen genom att injiceras med virus och f�rses med inopererade
elektroder, sade Babar.
- S� trevligt f�r honom... adj� d� Zephir. Skriv ett kort n�gon g�ng,
sade Celeste och vinkade med snabeln.
Pl�tsligt fick de se hundratals djur fly undan en skogsbrand. Babar k�nde
igen sin gamle v�n, giraffen Simon.
- Regnskogen brinner! Det �r katastrof! fl�mtade Simon.
- Nejd�, dummer. Det �r ett framsteg. Timmerbolagen hugger ner tr�den
f�r att skapa utrymme f�r guldgr�varna och kakaoodlarna. Det de inte
hugger ner, br�nner de. Alla tj�nar p� det! sade Babar.
- Men alla djuren som mister sina hem d�? undrade Celeste.
- De f�r en m�jlighet att flytta och se efter huruvida de �ger
f�rm�gan att �verleva, f�rklarade Babar.
- De f�r allts� en ny chans! utropade Celeste.
- Precis, sade Babar.
- L�t oss h�lsa p� krokodilen Mauritz, sade Celeste.
Babar tyckte det var en lysande id� och snart var de framme vid
stranden av den stora floden.
- En g�ng var vattnet bl�tt och klart, men nu �r det brunt och f�rorenat,
sade Celeste.
- Det �r �nnu ett tecken p� framsteg. F�roreningarna talar om f�r oss att
industrin g�r f�r fullt och att ekonomin �r god, f�rklarade Babar.
- Titta vad som flyter p� vattnet! Det �r v�l Mauritz, inte sant?
fr�gade Celeste.
- Det var Mauritz, sade Babar.
D� Babar och Celeste l�mnade floden, bl�ndades de av ett mycket starkt
sken. Ljuset kom fr�n mullvadarna Leonard och Louise. Babar och Celeste
satte p� sig sina solglas�gon.
- Men s� ni ser ut! utropade Babar.
- Usch ja, vi kom f�r n�ra ett k�rnkraftverk och nu �r vi radioaktiva.
Vi �r bland de lyckliga f� som klarade sig, sade Leonard.
- Se det fr�n den ljusa sidan. N�r ni gr�ver era g�ngar, kan ni
ju alltid se vart ni g�r, sade Babar.
I ett buskage h�rde Celeste och Babar n�gon j�mra sig. Det var r�ven
Darius som satt fast i en f�lla av st�l.
- Nu har du v�l �nd� riktigt trampat i det, sade Babar.
- Tror du inte jag vet det? N�gon borde ha varnat mig f�r p�lsj�garna,
j�mrade Darius.
- Det �r v�l inte hela v�rlden heller, sade Babar. Ditt skinn kommer
att bli en del av en vacker p�ls, som h�ller en vacker kvinna varm.
H�ller du inte med om det Darius? Darius? Darius??
- Jag tror inte han h�r dig, sade Celeste.
- Han har aldrig varit s�rskilt pratsam av sig, sade Babar.
N�r Babar och Celeste gick hem mot staden igen fick de sig en riktig
�verraskning.
- Titta, v�rt folk har lagt sig p� marken och tappat sina betar.
Sover de middag? undrade Celeste.
- Nej. De har givit sina liv f�r elfenbensj�garna. De skulle f�rst�s ha
d�tt i alla fall, men nu kan deras elfenben leva evinnerligen. Varf�r
skulle vi annars ha f�tt betar? sade Babar.
- D�r sade du ett sant ord! sade Celeste.
Alla elefanterna har blivit d�dade utom Babar och Celeste. �ren gick, men
Babar mindes fortfarande sin elefantsl�kt, s�rskilt n�r han spelade piano.
- H�r �r min kusin Arthur, sade Babar och slog an en vit tangent.
- Bredvid honom �r gamle Cornelius, sade Celeste och pekade p� en annan
vit tangent. S� m�nga av v�ra k�ra �r fortfarande hos oss. Fast ibland
undrar jag om det var r�tt att elefanterna blev utrotade av m�nniskorna.
- S�klart det var r�tt. M�nniskorna �r ju i alla fall den intelligentaste
arten i v�rlden, sade den kloke Babar.
