hi. dezibel here. as you should know it's been a little more than two
months since the last Legacy pack but still i think almost 200k ascii
is pretty much, even for an "oldschool'er" (i really hate that term!)
as myself. ok, so maybe it all doesn't have a very high standard, and
there even is some old recycled ascii's among these. but when did you
draw that much for a pack the last time?
this is a kind of small glimpse into my history in the asciiscene. it
doesn't go that very far back. not even 3yrs. so i'm afraid i can not
tell you anything about the golden days of ascii, that everyone talks
about. i can't say everything was better back in the days. and maybe
that's the reason i'm having a problem with people who keep on saying
that, who knows. now i kinda lost the subject. uhm.. yeah! my history
was it. it's really just a couple of logos for all ascii-groups* i've
been in (* n-ice was not an ascii group, but i released ascii for it,
so i included it anyway), one new logo and one from the time while i
was in the group in question. plus there is a little text about each
one of them. im not asking you to care, not at all. i just desperatly
needed something to draw for, and i came up with this idea. this is
what happens when you don't give me enough requests!

lame group that was doing a little bit of each, such as BBS doors (or
mods as they are called by the PC people), music and ascii, but we pretty
much sucked at all of it ..

About a year after that I met Volatile on IRCnet's #ascii. He must have had
a really bad taste then, 'cause he invited me to join his crew, Phunk. This
became my first contact with the pc-scene. Before I even had the chance to
release anything Phunk merged with Wax, becoming their "oldschool division".
So I released for Phunk, but in the Wax packs ..

Spies too died after only a couple of packs, so I joined Ruckus. I had a
great time and it felt like every group wanted me to join (except for the
big ones, which ofcourse was the ones *I* wanted to join). Then it struck
me that I had more or less forgotten about Arcade. So I decided to leave
Ruckus and the pc-scene to concentrate more on Arcade again. I never even
released anything for Ruckus ..

A month or two passed and then Meatpod msg'd me on IRC and asked if I wanted
to join Odelay. It felt like a breakthrough for me, finally I was in one of

Less than a month after I joined Click died. Rumours were cirkulating about
a new group run by Black Jack and Serial2n. I was told it was gonna kick
ass, so I thought I should give it a try. When I asked Serial2n about it he
just said something like "ok, you're in", he didn't even look at the file
with my best logos up to the point, which I spent half the night to prepare!

Ant1k and Mankind decided to leave the scene, and doing so they also put an

For some reason Prelude was supposed to merge with Remorse. I don't know what
really happened. But the result was that Remorse got most of the better artist
from Pld and Pld died. At this point i got pretty tired of the fact that all
groups seems to die after a few packs only. I wanted to join a big group that
would stay around for a while. Remorse was never an option though, 'cause of
what they did to Prelude and the fact that Zerohour and Cain (the two biggest
assholes in the scene ) are in Rmrs. And I didnt know if i wanted to go back
to Mimic either, so I took a break for about a month from the pc ascii scene.
Then Rippa started bugging me as hell about joining his the Legacy, and he
was driving me crazy, so eventually I said yes ;) ..
