"MKULTRA is one of the most disturbing instances of
       intelligence community abuse on record."

                               .-THE HISTORY-.

       Date: May 18, 1958.

Location: somewhere in a warehouse in a dark alley in the
                 American capitol.

       Subject: Subproject no. 83.

       ------------------------------------------------------------

Aegis, a secret split organisation of the Central
Intelligence Agency (CIA), the American secret service for
espionage, initiated a nasty control program in an
answer to Korean brainwashing theories during the
       Korean war.

The objective of this program is to 'brainwash' the
subject in such a manner that total control over his or her
       mind is achieved.

Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) was used to manipulate or
disorient numerous foreign or political opponents. This
didn't really seem to work out as planned, so the chiefs of
CIA decided upon another program, called the MKULTRA
       program. (subproject no. 83)

Although there were several of those programs running
throughout the world already (Chinese secret agencies were
suspected of being involved with the KGB developping
techniques of 'will demanding' and 'post-hypnotic conduct')
the MKULTRA was unique in it's kind because it contained
several disciplines in one, namely a combination of cerebral
implants, psychoactive drugs, hypnosis, microwave radiation
       etc.

And this was exactly the major success of the MKULTRA
program. Subjects were completely inaware of their condition
and could easily be programmed to be assassins or couriers,
while in normal day-life they would be managers, housewives
       or office-employees.

Many scientists still believe that the assassination of
the American president, John F. Kennedy, was commited by
a person under the influence of the MKULTRA project.
(These persons are better known as 'manchurian candidates'.)
This theory however, was never proved, although several
former CIA executives confirm these rumours...

...the rumours about subproject no. 83. So beware....
