 // 1. WHAT WAS MUSIC CONTEST ][? //
///////////////////////////////////

/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/

   Music Contest ][ was an international music competition based on the PC
   and Amiga platforms. A total of 75 people decided to enter, and there
   were a total of 14 judges to vote on the entries. There were many distri-
   bution BBS's around the world, and the headquarters was at the FTP site
   ftp.eng.ufl.edu. The contest started on May 13th 1994 and ended on Sep-
   tember 5th 1994.

   This contest was the sequal to Music Contest 1, which was hosted at the
   end of 1993. There were a dismal 24 entries and 4 judges in this event,
   so MC][ was quite an improvement.

   Both contests were hosted by myself, Christopher G. Mann (a.k.a. Snowman).
   However, neither would have been possible without the support of literally
   hundreds of people. It is the musicians, judges, sysops, coordinators,
   and friends who really made these contests a reality.

   More information about MC1 and MC][ can be found on ftp.eng.ufl.edu, under
   /pub/msdos/demos/music/MC1 + MC2.

   I would also like to thank Dan Wright, without whom the Escape CD would
   never have happened. Our friendship seems to have grown in recent times,
   and I wish you the best of luck in your departure from the demo scene. :(

   Jester deserves a great deal of credit for being someone I could let off
   steam with and talk candidly to when things were going badly.

   Dan Potter and Ryan Cramer are now long time friends. Things seem to
   change all around us, but I can still count on the two of you after all
   this time.

   Dee-Cug is a friend I have neglected in recent times. I hope to remedy
   this in the coming weeks.

   Last but not least, I thank my girlfriend Michelle for providing me with
   moral support and pleasent distractions. These took the form of coffee,
   meals, and good wholesome conversation. :)

   My hard drive recently crashed. I had been keeping a list of people to
   thank, but that was lost. As a result, I am probably forgetting a couple
   important people.  Sorry.

   Also, there are over 175 people that I have coorespondence with, so don't
   feel bad if I didn't greet you specifically. After all, this text can
   only be 64k long.

   WATCH OUT FOR MC ]I[ (1995).
